jumpsuits

I just don't understand all the love for jumpsuits at the minute. They definitely look really good on some people.
Lately it seems that every OP is advised to get a jumpsuit, regardless of body shape, cover preference, height, occasion ......... jumpsuits are definitely not a solution- to -every-current- fashion- dilemma for everyone, so why the rush to recommend them to everyone??

It's the same with pointy shoes.

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 27/04/2024 09:10

I like pointy shoes. I don't like jumpsuits. I rarely see them being worn.

KnickerlessParsons · 27/04/2024 09:39

Anyone who has actually worn a jumpsuit and tried to go to the toilet when wearing it would never recommend buying one.

Bearpawk · 27/04/2024 11:37

I love jumpsuits and wear them a lot. I look much better in them than dresses - I'm quite sturdy but with a small waist and I don't like the vintage dress look, plus I don't wear heals often (prefer trainers or birks) so they work for me.
My favourite ones are a navy boiler suit from M&S, a peach LF markey denim one, hush tracksuit one with a zip up high neckline and I've got a few black ones I can dress up and down with heels or trainers.

I've never found one that fits, must have a long body. I have similar problems with swim suits.

Meredusoleil · 27/04/2024 11:42

I love them, but agree they can be a faff when going to the toilet. They definitely can't be zipped up at the back style.

BusterGonad · 27/04/2024 16:20

I like playsuits (short legs) as I'm tall and jumpsuits are never long enough. I think they are flattering on me. About 10 years ago they were my favourite thing. I'd always wear one on nights out.
I like pointy shoes too.

pinkmags · 27/04/2024 16:27

Ridiculous invention - such a faff when going to the toilet!!!

BatshitCrazyWoman · 27/04/2024 16:31

I've got a very stretchy one, it's no harder to get out of it for the loo than jeans. I think it depends on your shape whether they suit you or not.

pinkmags · 27/04/2024 17:06

Jeans you simply pull down. A jumpsuit, like a one piece ski suit, you have to undo and have the whole top half hang behind you precariously, avoiding getting the toilet Grin

Precipice · 27/04/2024 17:09

I don't understand why anyone would wear anything all day that required undressing fully to go to the loo. Swimsuits are different, because you're only in them for a couple of hours and in any case it's possible to just hold the crotch part to the side to pee.

idontlikealdi · 27/04/2024 17:23

I hate pointy shoes. Love a jumpsuit. Particularly a front fastening one or one that just goes down.

I wear jumpsuits. They are not hard to go to the toilet in!

bingohandjob · 27/04/2024 19:22

Love jumpsuits - I do avoid button up ones though. Love my zipper denim ones and jersey ones. Really not that big a deal to go to the loo other than if you're eg at a festival. I think they look great on lots of shapes and sizes.

Yes, neither pointy shoes nor jumpsuits ever looked good on anyone. Unless you want to look like a giant toddler with huge witch feet.

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 27/04/2024 19:28

I love jumpsuits, they're really flattering on me. I don't mind having to take them down to go to the toilet.

I've got lovely one from a few years back
From Hobbs. I thought I would wear it to a wedding in June until I realised the wedding is in a marquee with Portaloos. I'm now looking for a dress to wear.
