Sweatshirts without place names - how hard can it be?

I’d like some casual sweatshirts and prefer something other than plain colours but all I can find in my usual haunts is ones with the names of American cities or other far-flung destinations. Or occasionally some crap French phrase or self-love slogan.

Where on Earth can I get something a bit different without any of these things?

H&M have nice plain ones. I like the fit of them, not too short. M&S used to have plain ones, haven’t looked there in a while. I had some before but they were too short and boxy looking. I’m with you..I don’t want Colorado on the front of my top. Or Ce La Vie!

second h and m. Also Uniqlo and M&S. I often buy men’s sweat shirts as prefer fit - easier to avoid logos/text too.

I highly recommend uniform / workwear shops. My local one is ace.

They can get any size and lots of colours. Plain or print your own wording/logo. They tend to be much better quality too!

Disclaimer: S&B is not my natural habitat 😁

M&S usually have loads of stripy sweatshirts. They have some ombre ones too atm.

I saw quite a lot of them in Primark and H/M shopping with my dd2 last week.

Lanawashington · 25/04/2024 09:52

I've got quite a few of the Design Studio branded ones from Boohoo

GettingStuffed · 25/04/2024 10:14

I bought a navy one one with The Wave 🌊 on it from Primark last weekend

The Sugar Hill Brighton stuff is lovely, I've bought quite a few things from them.

While we're on this rant though - why is it so hard to find women's nightwear that doesn't have 'cute' cartoon characters or twee slogans? It's all so bloody infantile!

If you put it on backwards , as I do, then at least you give the initial appearance of being not being drawn in by this current trend.
However as you walk away you give the lasting appearance of being a bit of a twat who can't dress properly.
Swings and roundabouts, I suppose.

Haha, I've got one sweatshirt that I wear backwards but only for working from home! The colour is great on me for being on camera and it was a silly bargain price 😂😂

As abit of a pleb I go for Primark everytime!
They have some really nice fine art ones in there at the moment. My most recent was a really nice cropped sweatshirt with Van Gogh's Irises in a vase on the front.

I got that one too last week, really nice material for £6 I thought

I love Muthahood sweatshirts. I also have a few from Cub & Pudding.

Ariela · 25/04/2024 11:47

Cotton traders have some striped and some floral ones.

ScribblingPixie · 25/04/2024 12:59

The T-shirt pic isn't it btw.

valjane · 25/04/2024 13:50

I find Tu at Sainsbury's good for sweatshirts

BrieHugger · 25/04/2024 13:53

I wonder whether in America they wear sweatshirts with Croydon or Blackpool emblazoned across the front
