Please help me find a new perfume

I want to find a new perfume. One that I wear everyday and becomes my scent. But so many to choose from I need help shortlisting a few to smell, as they all merge into one after sniffing a few in store.

(I say new. I don’t really wear perfume much at all except for going out.)

I like floral but not too sweet. I tried Tiffany eau de parfum in store today and liked it but it was maybe too young and light and sweet, if those are even words to describe perfume.

i don’t like rose really, and don’t want anything too heavy. I want to smell clean and like you are walking through a kitchen garden in spring…

help! Any ideas welcome so o can narrow down what to try.

I don't have any specific recs, but this is a tool I've found useful from The Perfume Society:I

https://perfumesociety.org/find-a-fragrance/

They also have an option for you to email them and they'll send you some recommendations.

FIND A FRAGRANCE - The Perfume Society

With my birthday money I bought monotheme acrumi di Sicilia from M&S which has an orange blossom base.

Another one is maison margiela beach walk which is lightly floral but also has a salty smell.

You don't mention budget but try Fleur de Peau by Dyptique if you've got the funds. If you want more high street than high end try La Vie est Belle or Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia.

I have always loved L'air du Temps by Nina Ricci. Floral with a bit of warmth, not heavy. Have had a lot of compliments wearing it.

Dd (20s) likes Ghost Daydream, again not heavy.

I love this you can buy in m and s

this is the blurb
but it’s really clean smelling but floral

‘ CamelliaA rebellious and spirited floral guaranteed to stand out. Elegant bluebells set the scene as the soft whisper of white flowers dance on the breeze. Blond woods embrace as you succumb to temptation’

Try Soft Iris from M&S. It's a very pretty soft, light floral that isn't sweet.

I like Coco Mademoiselle as it's not too cloyingly floral and feels subtle.

Marc Jacobs Dot. Absolutely gorgeous and I get complemented on it every time I wear it!

Floral Street perfumes are lovely, my favourite at the moment is Wild Peony.

Yes, agreed, not too sweet. It smells a bit like Coco Chanel mademoiselle on me.
