I have been doing my own gel nails for a while now, and I am really happy with them. They last just as well as when I had them done professionally and I plan to continue doing them long term as I love having painted nails (but hate normal polish that chips as soon as I look at it).
I am thinking of getting an e-file to help speed up removal and prep. I use Beetles gel at the moment and have no issues with it, but it is a PITA to remove. And I think an e-file might help me with cuticle prep too and speed the removal up...
I wonder if anyone else who does DIY gel at home uses an e-file they would recommend please? I don't want to spend a fortune in case I don't get on with it. Probably £50-100...
