Help me with this jacket!?

I'm trying to put together a few put-together outfits for work this summer. I love the stand up collar on this jacket and the colour. I was thinking of wearing this with a black smart t shirt under and black ankle grazer shoes. But...do you think it looks like a bell-boy jacket (just missing the little hat!). If so, could it be saved with me changing the buttons (if so what colour - black?). Any thoughts oh wise stylish MNers?

I have several "bell hop" jackets from this Dutch brand. I don't wear them as much as I used to (sadly a bit small) but for many years they were my staple office wear. I always wore them with skirts- either long, straight skirts or full skirts.

I don't think any of these look like actual bell boys in the way they are styled.

The buttons might need replacing on yours.-not because they are gold-but depending on what they are actually made of. The gold or silver buttons on mine are good quality metal, possibly pewter, but I've seen cheaper versions of this type of jacket with "fake metal" which doesn't look good. Any nice wooden or corozo nut buttons will be fine.

Thanks @IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle that is a good point about the buttons - the ones on the Monsoon jacket are pretty plastic.
