Highest performing sports bras?

Posting here for traffic.

I need a new sports bra. Currently using high impact Shock Absorber ones, and find them adequate, but if I’m shelling out, thought I’d see if there are better performing ones.

I’m a 34F, so need the support, and need it for running. I’m happy to invest decent money in a good one as wearing it lots.

I’ve got a brooks one and find that really supportive (similar size). There’s quite a complicated way to get it on involving Velcro, but once it’s there, nothing goes anywhere!

MagicSpaceTurtle · 20/04/2024 08:11

I’ve got Shock absorber Ultimate run and would never try any other as it’s so comfy and supportive (34E).
If you don’t mind what colour you get and shop around a bit you can usually get a discounted one.

I like the Marks and Spencer underwired ultimate support sports bra. Didnt think id like the underwire, but it really helps with control and support that I never really got with the Shock Absorbers.

Tried the zip front one, could not actually zip it up. Needed three hands to pull the two sides together, keep boots inside and zip up at the same time.

fernsandlilies · 20/04/2024 10:39

@Hiddendoor maybe leave the boots out? 😆

Hiddendoor · 20/04/2024 14:03

@fernsandlilies hahaha ahahaha!

Definitely not smuggling footwear in my undergarments 😂

Thank god for the recommendations on this thread. I wear a dance bra for my tap and ballet classes which I thought was quite supportive until I saw a video that my dance teacher had sent us to aid learning a routine that we’re doing in tap. My boobs were bouncing so much it’s a wonder I didn’t put an eye out 🤣🤣🤣

Panache ultimate is great. Compression sports bras make me feel like I'm going to suffocate, this is encapsulation or something, moulded cups, underwired. V secure feeling.

dementedpixie · 20/04/2024 16:05

I second the panache ultimate underwired bras

Dacadactyl · 20/04/2024 16:08

I'm 32F at the minute and like panache non-underwired.

If you don't mind a monoboob I have found the Enell sports bra the best supporting bra I have tried. I'm a similar size to you and it is the only bra I will wear for Body Attack classes. I find it much comfier than the Panache and doesn't put such pressure on your shoulders as it has a full back.

I'm updating my earlier suggestion.... I've recently got a Pour Moi underwired, moulded one with optional cross back. It's so ridiculously comfortable, it beats the Panache for me.

henlake7 · 14/05/2024 18:46

I just use a cheap Primark one. Def give you monoboob but nothing jiggles when I run so I can live with it!

DonnasShrugaleros · 16/05/2024 15:06

Elomi Energise are my gold standard, have tried shock absorbers, the panache one and I'd not even bother with M&S or another high st one as their regular bras aren't up to scratch for these J cup bowling balls.
