Spray tan before holiday?

Would you recommend a spray tan before going abroad? Did you avoid the pool/sea? All experiences welcome as I don't know whether to go for one!

My first babe was less than 4 months on our first holiday, she was cluster feeding, so I spent the majority of the holiday in the shade! People commented that it looked like I got left on the planeas I was as pale as when I left!

So since then, I usually get one, I feel more confident, less like a mum. Never had a problem with chlorine effecting it.

@MalibuBarbieDreamHouse Ah thank you so much for sharing! You deserve that tan 🥰 Did you get it a day before your flight?

I always get a tan before I go away, normally about 1.5 days before so it's washed off before I get on the plane.

My friend always got a spray tan before going on holiday as she's generally fair and doesn't sunbathe. She would joke she's the only one coming back from holiday paler than when she went!

Go for it.

AndBeyond · 19/04/2024 20:49

I've done it. It makes me feel better lying by the pool for some weird reason.

bryceQ · 19/04/2024 20:53

Yes I always do. I don't want to sunbathe as I'm quite skin conscious. I swim and do everything as normal. Just have a nice glow 😊

I usually just do my normal St Moritz fast develop and bring it with me to top it up now and again if I'm away for 2 weeks and hour and then wash off and your good

Yes! I’ve done the three hour rapid tan when I was in a pinch! Then the normal 7/8 hour one.

Passmetheaero · 19/04/2024 22:19

Yes always. Professional spray tan the day before. Makes me feel so much more confident.

Remoteaccess · 19/04/2024 22:22

Me too definitely, find a local salon and get it done professionally

CoolShoeshine · 19/04/2024 23:15

I must be going to the wrong salon! I’ve only had it done once but it was unnaturally dark and came off in the sea. On my the first day of my holiday 😩

Dontsayyouloveme · 19/04/2024 23:52

Always! I go away browner than I come back 🤣 but I swim a lot so it starts wearing off around day 4 which is a pain… I wear all my bright, slightly more skimpy clothes in the first few days of the holiday when I’m tanned… then they get slowly darker and cover up more as the week goes on.. lol

laesosalt · 22/04/2024 19:54

Name change as my baby is no longer a newborn 🥺

Thanks everyone! I'm booked in for a St Tropez Original a day before my flight! Excited and nervous 😅
