H&M not refunding online returns in shops.

Has anyone else noticed this?
I tried to return something to my local shop yesterday. Only to be told there was no option to do that. I've looked through several orders & they're all non-returnable via the shop.
Surely for those of us who like our returns quickly this is a bit of an own-goal?

I always just send it back, but as a member I get free returns. I imagine the stores haven't got space to be storing returned stock.

Really? I haven’t ordered for a while but six months to a year ago I could do returns in store. If I no longer can then I’ll no longer buy. Although not much of a threat as I obviously don’t buy much there.

edited to add…

If you would rather return in store, just show the return in store QR code in your app or order confirmation email.* Please note that incorrect orders (e.g. wrong or missing items), furniture and lighting can only be returned to our online warehouse. Products bought on hm.com from other brands cannot be returned in store, please follow the return instructions included in the parcel from that brand*

I just found out yesterday, it was easy at the postoffice with the code on my phone.

I returned something in store about a week ago.

Are you returning H&M items or one of the brands that they also sell online (e.g. Arket), as those have to be done by post etc.
