Summer ball - size 20 / short

Hi all,

My daughters' school is holding a summer ball in just under three weeks! I am dreading it as I have nothing to wear.

I would be incredibly grateful if anyone could recommend either a brand or a dress which would suit a size 20/ 40 year old/ 5 ft 1 woman who carries weight around hips and tummy 😩 I just don't even know where to start!

Do summer ball dresses need to be long?

Budget - open minded here - if it's amazing, I'll happily pay.

No, I don’t think it needs to be long - or even a dress. A friend of mine recently wore a smart jumpsuit to her daughter’s school ball.

And it's 95% cotton! That would swing it for me 😂
