Hi , i was reading a lot of good stuff about Korean skincare products .

I wanted to buy some but not sure what brands are good . Basically i read that some of that stuff will leave skin luminous and absolutely gorgeous.

Can someone recommend anything ? TIA

Cosrx is well known. I use Beauty of Joseon Dynasty moisturiser at night.

Stowickthevast · 17/04/2024 10:28

I like the Eborian Bb cream as a light foundation/primer.

botemp · 17/04/2024 11:02

Erborian isn't Korean, it's a French brand inspired by Korean skincare.

I'm also a fan of the Dynasty Cream from beauty of Joseon and I like a few of their other products. CosRx is solid as well but more geared to younger skin. Missha and Sulwhasoo are the classic Korean brands for more mature skin. I also like Skin1004 but haven't tried much from them. Dr. Jart is on the pricey side but more easily available in regular shops, also some great products.

But unless you know what you're looking for and what suits your skin it's not magically going to give you amazing skin overnight.

I've just started using snail 92. Too early to tell benefits but does make my skin very soft

I swear by Corsx snail mucin

Sealover123 · 17/04/2024 17:04

Glow Recipe ❤️

KarateSchnitzel · 17/04/2024 17:09

I use isntree face spf. It's amazing. Goes on like a moisturiser. I wouldn't use anything else now.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 17/04/2024 17:15

I've just got into Korean skincare so still learning. Also used Medik8 before. 42 year old with ok combo skin. Would like my pores to be clearer though and dark spots reduced.

Currently I'm using:
Cosrx toner pads in the morning.
Cosrx hyaluronic acid 3 serum
Cosrx oil free moisturiser

Centella 1004 cleansing oil evening
I'm from rice toner.
Beauty of Joseon serum.
Cosrx snail mucin moisturiser.

The rest I use aren't Korean but I like all of the above so far. I broke out a bit at first but my skin has settled down. I think I'll swap out the joseon serum for a dark spot serum soon. I like the glow it gives me but not sure it's doing much else and it's a small bottle.

I found loads of Cosrx stuff in TK Maxx a bit cheaper too.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 17/04/2024 17:16

I also use the toner in the morning too after the pads.

JMAngel1 · 17/04/2024 17:50

Numbuzin Essence no 3 gives me really soft less textured fine skin - saw an incredible difference very quickly (and I am a skincare super user and thought I was maxed out on everything (tret/bit C m/niacinamide/acids/spf) But the Numbuzin gives me incredible results even on top of all of these other products. (Not that you put it on top but you know what I mean!). It’s a bio fermented essence - dupe for SKII I think but really cheap.

I also love Etude House SPF50 Sunprise Airy Finish

JMAngel1 · 17/04/2024 17:51

Ooh and not Korean but Japanese Hado Labo Premium Gold HA serum is amazing - not the UK version but the proper Japanese one.

CorneliaStreet · 17/04/2024 17:56

I’ve liked everything I’ve tried from Beauty of Joseon so far (the serums and the rice SPF).

The Cosrx propolis toner is lovely and the snail essence is a staple for me now.

I really like the Haruharu black rice products too.

totalnamechanger · 17/04/2024 18:18

I shouldn’t have clicked on this as I’m trying to reduce spending… now all I’m thinking is, where on earth can I buy all this?!

stardust777 · 17/04/2024 18:30

I'm currently using these products and would recommend them:

Beauty of Joseon retinal eye serum
Cos de Baha bha liquid (this has replaced micellar water in my routine)
Skin1004 centella serum

I prefer mineral sunscreen now, and use that regularly. If using chemical sunscreen, I go for this:

Beauty of Joseon spf

bryceQ · 17/04/2024 19:20

I'm glowy... I use some Korean products I am a fan

Pm - beauty of Joesson cleansing balm or any of the cleansing oils from Yes Style

Tretinoin from Dermatica

Illiyoon ceramide cream

With a layer of tallow over (I realise this isn't for everyone)

Morning
I use the Langeige water mask when I first wake up

Beauty of Joesson SPF 50

Eborian cc cream

MotherWol · 17/04/2024 21:15

I bought the Beauty of Joseon spf following a recommendation on here, as the Etude spf I’d been using was discontinued. Early days so far, but I really like it!

mrstrickland · 17/04/2024 21:21

Has anyone ordered from Stylevana? seems to get very mixed reviews so not sure whether to order or not. Have tried Yes style with no issues

I ordered a few bits from them on Monday. Had a nice range of brands. Eagerly waiting.

Yes I have lots of times. That or yes style. Both are slow delivery of course but never had issues as long as it's not urgent

Is Beauty of Joseon hypoallergenic?

bryceQ · 17/04/2024 22:19

@Nocturna sorry I'm not sure but this Web page might help?

beautyofjoseon.com/pages/faq-products#:~:text=All%20Beauty%20of%20Joseon%20products,a%20patch%20test%20before%20use.

stardust777 · 17/04/2024 22:25

@mrstrickland Yes, I order from Stylevana. I was a bit nervous but so far (touch wood!), so good.

JMAngel1 · 18/04/2024 06:11

mrstrickland · 18/04/2024 07:50
