Everyday handbag

I'm looking for a handbag for everyday use. One I've got is really cheap and tatty. After reading the handbag threads I want a nice one. Not too dressy or too big but not tiny. Under say £500 at the very most. Or I could buy two cheaper ones as I don't own many bags. Any recommendations. Thanks.

Aspinal of London have some lovely bags too.

I'd highly recommend a Demellier Venice although I'm not sure if they still make the midi size. I'm currently thinking of either a Polene Numero Un or Mokki or Strathberry Mosaic.

Thanks very much for the suggestions. So difficult to choose. I haven't heard of Polene. I have heard of Strathberry and they look very nice. Think I would need to see the bag in a shop rather than buy on line. Probably will go for a black bag. But definirely not a light coloured one.

I have this bag by Guibert, the quality is excellent. But as they are based in Paris, you'd have to order online.

Polene quality has dropped, and there are many complaints on Trust Pilot regarding their customer service.

Try Coach - they have great sales. I often find myself going back to my little black coach bag - it's been a total workhorse and the leather has held up really well.
