I have none
Over plucked when I was young and they never grew back.
I use a brow pencil to draw them on but they never look nice.
This is them
Are they bad?
How can I improve them?

I use this. As I’ve aged my brows have become much lighter and I’ve found this is the best pencil from many I’ve tried. It’s soft and goes on really nicely, without sharp lines or an unnatural effect. I think it would work really well with your natural brows, but you don’t use it to draw “fake brows”.

There’s nothing wrong with your natural eyebrows!

BarbsAllotment · 15/04/2024 10:19

I would go and get them threaded or waxed professionally so they can even out the high arch, and then buy a small precise pencil or a brow gel, and go from there.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 15/04/2024 10:22

Your natural eye brows are great!

pinkyredrose · 15/04/2024 10:23

Use a brow pen rather than a pencil use a lighter shade and draw hair on your skin rather than fill in.

FrannieGallops · 15/04/2024 10:28

Your natural brows are far better than what you’re drawing on. Thick, solid brows are thankfully really out of fashion now.

There are so many tinted gels you could use to make them appear a bit fuller but remain natural looking. Boybrow by Glossier is good.

You might want to look into Nano Brows - these seem to be the most natural of all the tattoo type options.

I don't think I am drawing them higher than my brow
I just follow what's there
They naturally uneven and one higher

But you put blue line on a picture showing that your natural brow line was below what you had drawn?

I’d just go to a salon and get the microblading. Think of it like getting a haircut and colour. And think of how easy it will be not to have To think about them every day.

whatsbestforme · 15/04/2024 10:29

Agree that your natural brows improve your appearance massively and they really aren't as thin as some others.

Get tweezers and take some from the top of that arch, carefully.

Remember they are sisters not twins🤩

BusterGonad · 15/04/2024 10:34

Use an eyebrow powder and slanted brush, but please get a shade that is blonde or taupe. I always think for eyebrows, lighter is better. I have very dark brows, almost black and if possible I always try to get medium brown.
Agreed, the arch is too high. Pluck it off and make a soft arch yourself. Better still visit n eyebrow expert and get them to fix it.

I don't think the OP drew the blue line

No, I drew the blue line since this is where the brow line appeared to be from the first photo

Ah yes I see that now, I just scrolled quickly and thought all the pics were posted by the OP. Apologies.

None of these pictures resemble actual eyebrows. They are just odd draw on shapes.

therestisstillunwriten · 15/04/2024 07:51

@DrJoanAllenby I did yes
I watch so many YouTube tutorials etc
It just gets to me doing it...and goes all to pot

This used to be me. I’d spend ages sat in the mirror trying to get thrn to look the same. They’d end up too dark, over filled and looking like a cartoon villains brows. Honestly, get them micro bladed it’s the best decision I ever made.

Ciri · 15/04/2024 10:45

Micro blading isn't really where its at for brows now. It's all about tint and lamination.

boozeclues · 15/04/2024 10:46

I think you need to just leave them alone for a month or two and go and see a professional for something like micro blading .

it will drive you potty for the short term but it will be worth it.

Also please make sure you go to a proper professional as there have been many horror stories of people seeking out microblading with inexperienced beauticians

therestisstillunwriten · 15/04/2024 10:47

Is brow lamination any good for people with thin brows who want them thicker ?

OP posts:
Ciri · 15/04/2024 10:49

You need to see an expert and ask. With lamination they tint the brows so that all the tiny hair show up which makes them look thicker and they then shape and laminate them. I think it's quite a young look however (but it is the current thing).

therestisstillunwriten · 15/04/2024 07:43

This is with nothing on them
As you can see awful and one of them does have a natural high arch

They aren’t awful at all, they just need a bit of filling in. If I were you, I’d go to a beauty salon or make up counter in a large store and get a lesson on how to do it properly. As others have said, you can change the line and fill in below the high arch. Don’t go down the microblading route, it looks harsh and heavy. Stick to as near your natural look as you can and it will suit you much better.

OneFrenchEgg · 15/04/2024 10:53

It's all very well telling op to get them microbladed but it's £££ -I paid over £400 a few years ago.

Op you need to get a baby toothbrush and brush the hairs up to start with rather than down. Get benefit to do a demo if you have a ££ to buy new products maybe? Or a concession like Clarins etc .

Yes definitely. I would find a really good brow tech and go for a consultation. Make sure it's someone who understands a natural brow look rather than thick black slugs!

You could have lamination 6-8 weekly with a tint and shape in between. Don't mess with them and get some help with how to fill and define in between.

GettingStuffed · 15/04/2024 10:55

You have far more eyebrows than I do. I'm not a very hairy person. I don't usually do my brows but if I do I use NYX brow pencil in a light brown which matches my eyebrow.

PurpleCacao · 15/04/2024 11:06

My advice:

  1. Stop plucking for a few weeks. That over-arched brow, you need to let the hairs grow back in below to bring the arch down
  2. Use Dyebrow at home to tint them darker brown. Costs like £5 on amazon
  3. Use Benefit Precisely My Brow and Anastasia Beverly Hills brow glue to gently (gently!) fill them in and set the hairs into place.

Thick brows are out of fashion again anyway. I think maintaining a slimmer shaped brow with a natural gentle curve (rather than a
dramatic arch) will suit you better.

PurpleCacao · 15/04/2024 11:10

therestisstillunwriten · 15/04/2024 07:43

Looking at your natural brow photo again, I think the Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel is key.

Your hairs are growing/pointing downwards, and you are currently trying to create an arched/update shape by plucking beneath. But the hairs still grow down.

Let all your hairs grow back in, and use the brow glue to direct the hairs the right way (like, north-east rather than south). This will create a softer more natural look.
