So, I happily spend my summer in my uniform dress, black thick tights and Dr Martens.

What do I water in summer? Don't like thin tights, don't like trousers.

What do other people wear on their legs and their feet?

Help

Nothing! I go bare legged or wear scrubs unless estates agree to bring the portable ACs in.

I don’t get paid enough to be uncomfortable.

Thanks.

What do you wear on your feet? Thinking DM might be a bit warm!

Thanks

Scrubs and Skechers go walk.

Scrubs and Skechers go walk.

Unfortunately not allowed scrubs. Tunics or dresses only. But I shall look at sketchers.

First time in 29 years I've had to wear uniform!

I wear a dress, Snag tights and Clarks shoes year round. Hate the trousers option because they don't fit!

henlake7 · 13/06/2024 19:50

I buy my own uniforms that way I can get scrub style trousers which are nice and thin. Also since discovering my hospitals tunic actually comes in a thin material version rather then the thick rigid one I buy that as well.
Just wear cheap plimsol type shoes on my feet!

Blondieblueeyes · 13/06/2024 20:35

We aren't allowed to wear anything other than uniform issued by the Trust.

I’m a community midwife and we have been allowed back in our civvies since last August. However in your shoes (unintentional pun), I’d do crocs.

I wear my dress no tights and Hotter ballet pump style shoes ( district nurse so in a hot car or rain for mos5 of the summer)

Blondieblueeyes · 13/06/2024 21:22

We have to wear tights, no chance of bare legs
