Summer legs

Is there a summer legs thread yet? If not can we start one?

After a long period of neglect my legs are in bits 😂Strawberry legs, bumps etc.

Dry body brushing didn't help and I got one of those korean clothes (the rough ones) but I didn't find that helped either so I've just bought Q&A Salicylic body wash and the hyaluronic acid moisturizer. I've used them twice and they seem to be improving but I cannot stand the smell so I would rather different products once these run out.

I'm going to continue body brushing though because I do enjoy that and think it's good for my legs, it just wasn't helping the state they were in and I needed the acid 😂

Responding to my own thread here but I just in case it helps anyone I added the two new inkey list products into my routine, the glycolic body stick and the PHA exfoliating and hydrating body water cream and there's a huge difference in my legs after a month and they were in a very bad way before!! They're very very smooth now and very few KP bumps at all.

Still looking for replacements for the Q&A products though because I really don't like the smell. It's fine for days I just want functional body care, but not for days that I want to smell really nice.

Ooh @Dryweather I was looking at those products, thanks for the recommendation

This is interesting!

I do no leg care, could you detail what you do and products please if you don't mind?

Garlicnaan · 10/05/2024 13:24

I think what my legs really need is exercise and me to stop eating biscuits, but those inkey products sound good! I got on well with Ameliorate cream. Problem is it makes your skin v sun sensitive so have to then put suncream on as well...

Yep no problem so I use the Q&A Salicylic body wash on my legs in the bath or shower. I lather it and leave it for a couple of minutes but I don't think that's necessary.
Then I use the Q&A Hyaluronic acid post-Shower Moisturiser after that which is used on wet skin.

I got both of them from Amazon. As I said I'm not a fan of the scents but loads of people loved the scents, to me they smell like hair dye but no one else said that in the reviews 😂

The Inkey list glycolic acid exfoliating stick is like a really smooth roll on deodorant that just glides on, it's very fun to use, maybe because it's a novelty but I really enjoy using it. I was using it twice daily at the start because my legs were so bumpy and also on my cracked heels and calluses etc but now I can just go to maintenence mode I think because my legs are so smooth. That product is out of stock on amazon and the inkey list at the moment but I think boots etc might have it. That product has a good few uses so you should look at it in depth on the inkey list website 😊https://eu.theinkeylist.com/collections/body/products/glycolic-acid-exfoliating-body-stick

And then the final product is the Inkey list PHA exfoliating and hydrating body water cream. I got that because sometimes I can't moisturise after a shower or bath if I'm going to train (pole fitness) because if we moisturise it makes it hard to grip to the pole.

So I use that in the evenings after training, but it sinks in so nice and so quickly that I think I might even be able to use it before training, I'll have to test that out. Some people in the reviews didn't love the smell of that one but I think it's nice, it's just a very faint body cream scent.

Also just to add I don't think it's necessary to use all of those exfoliators but my legs were seriously in a state and I wanted radical change as quickly as possible! They are like new legs!

Also excellent point by @Garlicnaan about the sunscreen, very important to use sunscreen with any of those acids!

What does ameliorate smell like? That’s often the sticking point for me.
