Long very straight hair all my life but greys are coming in wavy

Like the title what the hell! Why? it almost looks crimped. Is it just me?

always had very dark poker straight hair, getting quite a bit of grey through which I don’t mind at all and don’t want to dye it.

its just annoying because the greys are obviously much lighter than the almost black hair so noticeable because they quite often sit differently especially at the top stick up.
It’s like I’ve got grey antennas haha!

annoying not because of the grey which I don’t mind but because it can look like it’s messy or unbrushed

does this mean eventually il have curly hair? Or are people’s experience that once the full grey comes in things will revert back to normal.

It's a thing. It won't be curly but it will have a wave. I quite like it.

Thanks. thats good to know. I think once it’s more grey than dark it’ll be fine and il get used to or like it but at the moment it’s like half straight with a more and more smattering of curly/wavy grey hair 😂

Mine is exactly the same. I have had a grey spurt recently and it's gone from looking a bit weird to looking a bit of a state - I have a halo of tufty frizz with lots of additional sticky up bits. It looks slightly better down and I do sometimes run straighteners over it, but in my (usual, chucked in a bun) style, I look like Doc from Back to the Future.

I think it's to do with melanin? Or maybe melatonin? One if them anyway 😂

when hair has less of it it changes the structure
