What is the one product you can slap on your face to help even skin tone?

I have a very very basic skincare routine and don’t care enough to add any more- but just checking to see if there is a wonder product that is worth it

current routine is:
wash face with cerave blemish control
vitamin c serum
Nivea blue tin

i generally have good skin, glowy and soft- but I do get the odd catastrophic massive spot that will leave a darkened or red patch of skin once it’s healed. I do try my best not to pick them, but they are the cystic types which look like they have a poppable head but don’t. So I am guilty of aggravating them.

apart from avoiding the above- is there a product that I can add in that will help even up my skin tone?

currently breastfeeding still btw as I know there are some active ingredients you can’t use

Breast milk itself is supposed to be very good for skin!

It's not a long term solution (and no good for me, but following with interest as my skin is pretty awful).

Niacinamide fades dark spots and has made a massive positive difference to my skin in general! There are loads of different serums available - I use The Ordinary's one, and I've heard the Paula's Choice one is very good too.

Are you asking for a makeup product or a skincare product? For the latter my best solution for PIE and PIH are transexamic acid, alpha arbutin and Tretinoin. Latter is definitely not safe for breastfeeding but I think transexamic and alpha arbutin are, check just to be sure.

Smoom face floss - the apricot colour one. Works overnight for me (despite its name). Amazing stuff, slightly whiffy though! Big on TikTok which is how I heard about it. You can see customers photos in their reviews, showing how it’s evened up skin tone and reduced redness.

In terms of makeup I use Erborians CC cream - beautiful stuff but quite expensive (lasts ages though).

Actually there are other Smoom face flosses which seem to be better for this purpose- I just haven’t tried them yet. But as someone who has been through half of Space NK and cult beauty, their face floss is really unique and actually works. A real holy grail moisturiser for me !
