Is this jumpsuit too ‘sexy’ for a wedding

Please help!
I’m 32 weeks pregnant and struggling on what to wear to a wedding this weekend!
Ive bought the attached jumpsuit and I love it on me, feel confident and comfortable.

my issue is that it hugs my bump very well and it’s pink, do you think it will look like I’m trying to show off my bump too much?
I don’t like being the centre of attention and certainly don’t want to up stage the bride.

The wedding is one of my boyfriend’s friends and my boyfriend is best man. So whilst I know people there, it’s not like they are my direct friends as such.
I worry people will talk about me as if I’m trying to show off.
Or I could be completely overthinking it!
How much do you think I should ‘show’ my bump?
is it too sexy?

It’s not sexy at all but with all the toilet trips you’ll be doing it’ll be really impracticable.

CestLaVie123 · 14/04/2024 08:16

I love it OP, I think it's perfect for a wedding! Not everyone is comfortable in dresses. You'll look great in it - enjoy the wedding and enjoy your lovely bump!

Haha they're still going!! Hope you had a great day OP!

Definitely wear it. Get a jacket/smart cardi/pashmina in a navy or even black to tone down the effect of the colour. But don’t sweat it, you’ll be fine.

ThePearlSloth · 14/04/2024 10:53

I would wear it! Not sure what the problem is! Go for it

Thegoodbadandugly · 14/04/2024 11:01

I have found some of the stuff from boohoo very see through, as others have said it's not sexy and I just don't know if it will be a good look to carry off as well as what others have mentioned it will be a nightmare going to the toilet.

Sorry I think it looks really cheap and the colour is too loud. I am sure you could find something more classy looking .

This. It looks like a boohoo outfit and I'm sure the material is going to look cheap too. Also very impractical with the loo.

bradpittsbathwater · 14/04/2024 11:38

The wedding has been and gone and she wore the jumpsuit. Job done.

Zone2NorthLondon · 14/04/2024 12:55

Yup, jumpsuit worn and wedding attended. And hopefully not a shrug or bolero in sight

But she’s never going to be wearing it again. It’s a heavily-pregnant wedding outfit. Why would she want to spend money on something she will only rewear if she’s invited to another wedding at the same stage of pregnancy?

It looks lovely to me. Perfect for a wedding. At 32 weeks, if you don’t buy something that hugs the bump you will end up with something that hangs over it and makes you look just massive. Go for it!

Completely agree with this

I think it's very wedding appropriate. Go for it and show that bump, its an amazing thing :)

RLouiseH · 14/04/2024 13:20

I think you’ll look lovely :)

Mommabear96 · 14/04/2024 15:29

Think that looks perfect!
Not ‘too sexy’ in the slightest and totally agree with you, I’d rather wear something that hugs my bump as something loose will just make you look huge🙃
soninsay go for it 100%! X

Notalwaysthismean · 14/04/2024 20:44

My best friend wore a hot pink dress to her sister’s wedding when she was 7 months pregnant. This was over 20 years ago. To this day she still puts that appalling decision down to pregnancy hormones. Don’t end up like my friend, still mortified after almost a quarter of a century.

kaysee01 · 14/04/2024 20:58

I hope you've made the decision to wear it, I think it's perfect, something doesn't have to be expensive, you have it so are the best placed to judge about the fabric and if you feel good in it than that is all that counts. People here will just be jealous that you have the figure and confidence to carry it off (and that you're comfortable in heels at 32wks!!).
The bride will always be the centre of attention don't worry about that.
Wear what you are comfortable in, enjoy the day. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy

The words jumpsuit and sexy never belong in the same sentence.

Why?

Spirallingdownwards · 15/04/2024 11:07

CharlotteBog · 15/04/2024 10:45

Why?

Because they just aren't sexy at all.

"Sexy" is subjective though.

Yes and subjectively the words sexy and jumpsuit don't belong in the same sentence 😂

Weddings are an opportunity for everyone to dress up and feel great about themselves. I love the colour and recon you’ll rock the look. Go for it!

QuizNight · 15/04/2024 19:03

MFF2010 · 12/04/2024 18:39

It's not at all sexy, I can't imagine anyone looking good in that outfit tbh 🤷‍♀️ I think you'd be the talk of the wedding for all the wrong reasons.

That’d be an extremely boring wedding if all people could talk about was someone wearing a jumpsuit.

Grammarnut · 15/04/2024 20:16

It's okay but likely to draw attention to yourself. What about a pretty, floaty dress? More appropriate to a spring wedding?
