How old is he and is he likely to need it again in the next 2 or so years? So school ball plus family wedding this summer? Or funeral plus high school graduation ceremony?
If it’s going to be something he only wears once before outgrowing it, I’d go shirt and jacket only and try the cheaper options first.

ds is likely to only wear it once now and possibly (if it still fits) younger ds is taller much to ds1 consternation so handing it down is not an option.

only half posted - needs it only for one occasion now but if it still fits could be for job interviews.
