I’m 33 and I did wear make up in my youth. Now I just have eyelash extensions and abit of red lipstick every so often.

im quite pale (mont blanc in Nars foundation) so no idea what make up works! I want to be able to contour and look put together lol.

every video I watch of people doing their make up they are always tanned and bronzed but that doesn’t suit me :(

help me please. My face is so dry 🥺

Laura Mercier makes a tinted bronzer in a shade called Sunshine. It’s the very fairest and might work for what you want.
If you’re very fair maybe blush and highlighter would work better than contouring/bronzer.
What cleanser and moisturiser do you use?

My pallor is of the corpse kind. I don’t find bronzers work, always look tangoed. I stick with skin matching foundation & add pale pink blusher to look alive. I use taupe or grey eyeshadow, don’t like bright colours or glitter, with a brown or grey eyeliner & black mascara.
Red lipstick looks harsh on me so I wear soft coral or pink. Brands I like are Laura Geller, Bare Minerals, Max Factor, Revlon & Tarte. I use Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish to take it off plus this eye makeup remover from Boots, cheap as chips but never given my sensitive eyes a problem.

Just totally forget about contouring! It looks horrendous in natural light, it is only meant for photography studios. Dh asked me recently (when we were served by a shop assistant who had contoured her face) - "did you notice that woman's dirty face?" I did, but I knew it was makeup, whereas to him it just looked like nasty grey/brown patches.

Sorry just jumpig in here but your post sounds similar to my issues. I find bronzer looks too much on me. Which foundation do you use? I like to get foundation to match my skin but then wonder if I look too pale. I use Liz Earle cleanse and polish too and have very sensitive skin. Don't you find it takes your eye make up off without having to use a seperate eye make up remover too. Do you use Liz Ere moisturiser too as that is very good?

I don’t do contouring as such, but I do take the Glossier bronze Cloud Paint in the lightest shade and blend that under my cheekbones, just a few dots of it. I then have a couple of the Cloud Paint blushes I go between (a pinky one and a more orangey one depending on lipstick) that I use as actual blusher. The Rare Beauty bronzer (again in a pale shade) works for me too.

Ooh - I'm pale and have Cloud Paint in pale peachy and pink colours (Beam & Puff) - absolutely love them. They've lasted ages and I haven't got bored of them. Will try out the pp's other Glossier suggestion

I'm going to follow this thread

The one I have (bronzey) is Sail. I’m not especially pale but don’t like to look too “done” on my face - I’m a red lipstick person.

Hi. It’s difficult when you’re so pale isn’t it, most ranges don’t go light enough.
The foundations I like & use are Laura Geller Balance & Brighten in Porcelain, it’s a powder one as is Mac Studiofix which I sometimes use in shade NW15. I like a stick foundation that I’m mostly using at present, Boots No7 in Creme, with a dusting of the LG over it. I’ve used Bare Minerals Original in Light in the past They do a fairly light which isn’t quite as white.
The Liz Earle will take it all off but I like to use the Boots one first as less scrubbing.
I don’t like the smell of any of the Liz Earle moisturisers, just a personal thing.
