I'm going on holiday soon and had no clothes for sunshine holidays
I've bought this dress but not sure if it's too tight
I wouldn't wear it in the uk as I would feel too self conscious
Does it look okay ?
I'm nearly 40 and not sure if it's too young as it's from Zara

Is this dress too tight ?

I didnt read the comments. Spanx is all i'll say. Undetectable knickers are amazng . and that you have an amazing figure, just a little support makes you feel better x

SecondClassmyass · 08/04/2024 20:59

Your figure is amazing but the dress is something I used to wear to the club in 2011 paired with platform peep toe heels 🫣

merrymelodies · 08/04/2024 21:02

It's an elasticized fabric though, isn't it?

ZaraEarrings · 08/04/2024 21:04

I agree with the last couple of posts, it looks like an early 00s dress.

I don’t think it’s too tight, btw. They are supposed to be worn skin tight.

Overthinking22 · 08/04/2024 21:07

Like others, amazing figure but as you asked it's too tight/dated. I can see outline of inner legs towards crotch (sorry poor description) but if you like it screw what anyone thinks.

theteddybear · 08/04/2024 22:54

Nope it's not too tight on you. So long as it feels comfortable I wld keep it. You have a lovely slim figure and it's not too young for u at all. It looks lovely.

UpsideLeft · 08/04/2024 23:01

Looks great

TheOGCCL · 08/04/2024 23:23

That’s the right size for you. It’s meant to be tight and unforgiving.
Main thing is you feel comfortable in it.

Yes it's too tight. It looks uncomfortably so, you can see your belly button in it which isn't a good look

It's very tight across the chest too. It looks as if it's squishing OP's breasts flatter than they should be just to fit into the material.

StarlightLady · 09/04/2024 05:27

I live in dresses as my “go to”.

I would wear the style for an occasion, but not in a hot and sunny situation. If you are going somewhere warm, you will soon be extremely hot.

Mercurial123 · 09/04/2024 08:41

It's too tight.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 09/04/2024 08:48

I don’t think it’s too tight at all but I’d want something shorter! I’m nearly 40 too and I wouldn’t find it too young.

MadKittenWoman · 09/04/2024 09:14

Not too young but too tight. May be OK for the evening depending on where you go but will be very uncomfortable during the day. You need cotton and linen that lets the air in. It doesn't have to be baggy, though!

Back21970 · 09/04/2024 09:24

Looks amazing to me, but yes try the sit down test first before you wear it.

ohbabyilovetheway · 09/04/2024 09:26

Does anyone have any pics of dresses that are in fashion right now ?

You’ve got a great figure and the dress is lovely but I think it will be too tight and uncomfortable for a hot country . You are better getting something looser that your body can breathe in which could also double up for potential wear during the day and could potentially wear in the Uk. I think this dress is too limiting and you just won’t get the wear out of it

I agree. But then my holiday wardrobe for evening wear consists of black cotton dresses with funky necklaces so what do I know.

GettingStuffed · 09/04/2024 09:35

It would probably only work for the start of the holiday, a couple of pounds on would make it too tight
