Josh Wood Gloss has turned streaks of my hair green... help

I tried Josh Wood's Midnight Blue Gloss last night. Disappointed as I styled my hair- it wasn't glossy and felt rather dry afterwards.

Anyway I've awoken after my night out, with a hangover and the extra bonus of streaks of sludge green hair... Where my hair is very dark (most of it) it is fine (no positive difference) but any natural highlights and the odd grey are now sludgy green. Particularly on my temples. Can anyone help with a quick fix. Obviously tonight I shall wash my hair again and again and again. But any tips for quick removal would be so wonderful.

I'm really disappointed with the results of the gloss... £20 and no gloss effects at all, hair dry (never an issue before) and now sludge green. Followed instructions to the letter too. Humph.

Head and shoulders, especially mixed with crushed up vitamin C and left in for up to an hour always strips out toner/gloss/hair dye for me. An apple cider vinegar rinse is also good and follow these up with a hair mask as they will leave your hair dry..good luck ☺️

Ketchup will fix the green

Thanks Clarice. I wonder if white wine vinegar will have the same impact? That's the last time I buy a product off the black of some instagram influencer recommendation... 🤣

Thanks! Should I leave it in for some time? Or just rub in as I would shampoo?

@Weareoutofwine have you managed to get the green out?

ElizabethVonArnim · 08/04/2024 14:35

If you are still green and interested in trying the ketchup, plop in on like a hair mask and leave for a bit. Those disposable shower caps you get in hotels are good for this.
