Hi

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo and conditioner, just for normal hair really. I have read that sulphate free is the way to go?

I was going to buy Bed Head as I saw that in The Range and I've had great results with that before, but when I checked the ingredients it's not sulphate free.

Happy to hear any recommendations xx

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it is now my motto when it comes to hair products! I went down the route of trying all of the more upmarket brands thinking that more expensive had to be better (Olaplex, Living Proof, Kerastase, Hair by Sam McKnight) and genuinely all they did was drain my bank balance, my hair didn’t benefit at all - in fact I developed a huge amount of breakage, frizz and dryness.

I’ve been religiously using the Elvive Dream Lengths range for a year or two now and honestly my hair has never been better. The wonder water conditioner is my ride or die product, couldn’t live without it! I have never admitted what I actually use to my stylist - she’d probably be horrified as I regularly have my hair coloured and she insists that I should be using the more premium brands like Kerastase. She always comments on how healthy it is though and how well my colour lasts so I have to be doing something right!

Thanks for replying, I know right? Hairdressers always have forty fits when you say what shampoo and conditioner you use, unless you're using what they sell in the salon.

I have used Living Proof before and my hair was dramatically better.. not sure I want to spend that much though... may try the Elvive
