Hair scissors recommendation

I’m keen to attempt to cut my daughter’s very long hair myself. I am not a trained hairdresser but she is not happy at the prospect of going to a real hairdresser. She’s 7 with hair nearly to her waist and for both our sanity it needs to be shorter…just below shoulders ideally. Can anyone recommend scissors? There seems to be loads on Amazon for £12 which I am assuming will not be good quality. They seem to range from cheap to hundreds with not much in between. Anyone recommend a good sturdy set that will last and give me the best chance?

Jaguar (Solingen) are good, and from what I've heard trainee hairdressers start with. Just make sure you get the right type. There's ones that slice and ones that don't, the slicing is basically a sort of shaving motion for layers. I like being able to do that but it may not be applicable for your DD's hair.
