Recommendations please

Looking for ankle grazers not tight on leg but not baggy to wear in summer

Flattering - I have short legs

For wear with trainers and Birkenstocks

I usually wear long jeans with wedges but want a more relaxed look for summer

Any budget considered - usually wear 7 for all mankind

I love Mud jeans. They don’t ship to the UK direct post Brexit but there are a few UK online shops who stock them. Gather and See have a good range of them.

@AdultFemaleWoman Yes those are the ones. For ref I am 5’3 and the regular are perfect ankle length.

These are marvellous and a perfect length for 5'3 me.

These are my favourite jeans of that description.

I've got those M&S boyfriend ones and they are my most lived-in pair of jeans. Got them on now, in fact!

I've got those M&S Boyfriend jeans. While they are definitely looser fitting they are quite heavy so not sure how summery they'll be.

I got a pair of Hush Boyfriend jeans when I was deciding. They are much lighter but are £79 compared to £39.50 M&S so returned the Hush.

I do really like the M&S though.

I live in M&S Harper Cigarette jeans, they’re a great fit and so comfortable

I’ve bought the M&S boyfriend cigarettes jeans in the standard denim and the white denim. I also bought a pair of high waisted mom jeans from Sainsbury’s in a short fit as I’m 5ft 1. I love the fit, I think high waisted suits my shape but the fit is a bit too relaxed for me. I do love them for working from home, after years of wearing leggings and skinny jeans it’s amazing feeling a bit of air flowing!

I have a couple of older pairs of the M&S cropped boyfriend jeans and I love them so much - just the right amount of stretch, but for some reason in previous years they've always had a sort of bias binding stripe down the outer leg seam, which isn't for everyone!

My other current faves are Rover Island Mom jeans - slightly cropped and a nice mid-weight denim, not too stretchy, not too heavy, not too anything!

I cannot fathom anyone recommending M&S. the quality is appalling.

I really like these - thank you for posting them, I am having trouble finding jeans I like. Even H&M have let me down.

M&S jeans can look fine until you turn them around - the bum is always, always dreadful.

I went and tried the M&S ones recommended here, 5 different style's. looking for some cropped jeans.

Dear god the sizing was awful same size on 3 pairs one huge, one way to tight other ok...ish, One pair of cropped Harper the zip went so far over to the right I looked bent out of shape, they were stitched so bad and the material felt so cheap and badly made esp for the price.

Back to the drawing board, I did mention to the woman on the changing room about the sizing giving her at least 10 pairs back, she just said yes, I know.

I ordered some cropped 501s from Amazon and although great quality and lots of different sizes they flatten my bum completely and are a bit stiff so think I'll return. Do they "give" after a while?

Ordered a pair of NYJD Margot jeans as were on sale massively reduced but crotch really low on them.

Would love to go to an M&S store and try lots of styles and sizes on but no big stores anywhere near me.

I'm currently wearing a pair from Tesco - "slim ankle grazer", according to the label. I picked them up when they were running a 25% clubcard discount and I didn't want to spend a lot (I have lost a lot of weight and still have a couple of dress sizes to go), but I'm surprised by how much I like them.

They were £20 or £25 full price so I'll happily buy them again, even without the discount!

I might try and go to Tesco this weekend. What shape would you say their jeans suit @amusedbush?

I am an apple and struggle with M&S. I have some elasticated waist trousers from there and even those are tight on the waist. Their jeans are too tight on the waist for me I find.

I have bought some nice straight leg ankle grazers from New Look. I ordered the Hannah ones and the Mom ones but they looked awful on me. The ones I kept are "Mid blue ankle grazing slim leg" and they have plenty of room round the waist but are a nice fit on the legs. Wouldn't be any use for a pear shape though.
