New trainers inspo please

New trainer inspo please. I have to be slightly careful with trainers in case they make my plantar fasciitis flare up but AF1 and NB 327's seem to be fine so far.

So I mainly have AF1s and New Balance 327s. Not owned a pair of Cortez in years and never tried Dunks, seen these, what do we think?

I have PF as well, live in my Hokas now. Also Converse have a thick cushioned sole version which are great.

I can quite easily do the other two though!

My PF got so bad I had to give up running for a few months. Then one day I got out of bed and realised I wasn't hopping anymore. It just went away.

My PF 'has' gone away. But I just know (and from speaking to 2 friends who've had it too) that my footwear has to be rethought now. I can't wear my beloved Adidas Gazelles anymore even with an orthopaedic insole as it can get painful and make the PF flare up again.

I've had to give up running/jogging as I don't want to risk PF flaring up and I think running/jogging plus partly returning to work and wearing trainers and then work shoes caused the PF in the first place.

But tell me how you started running with PF again? What did you do? I think I warmed up but forgot to cool down.

I didn't run 'with' it. I stopped, then once it dawned on me it had disappeared, I started gently with small parkrun stuff.

Can I jump in and go off on a slight tangent - I used to have PF and was recommended Birkenstocks. Don't get me wrong they were excruciating to get used to but they definitely got rid of the PF. I just wear them at home and then all Summer long, good luck.

I wore Birkenstocks before but it still didn't stop me getting PF.

The pain of PF though, it is awful, excruciating and I was so pleased when it suddenly went.

Personally i found vionics a huge improvement for my PF. For running my ypodiatrist recommends assics GT2000.

I'm liking the gazelles bold that are around in loads of colours atm - would they provide enough cushioning? I also like the platform converse all star move high tops.

Me too, I love Hoka Challenger GTX. I think I don't have PF anymore because of my Hokas and other suitable shoes.

No Adidas Samba as they have become deeply unfashionable.
