Covering a permanent bald patch on scalp

In January my mum, who is 77, had basal cell carcinoma removed from her crown and has been left with a hairless patch about 3x2.5 inches on the top of her head. She is not yet ready to conceal it with anything other than a scarf worn in bandana style, but is also not prepared to go out without it being covered. Does anyone know of hairpieces that could be used when it is fully healed? She is grey obviously, but dyes her hair light brown.

She sounds like a perfect candidate for a top piece. You can buy online or go to a specialist shop. They blend in amazingly well.

Simply Wigs is very good for top pieces. She could also try powders/sprays to disguise the patch. Try Amazon.
