Blush / powder / highlighter? What do I need?

Yesterday, I went into a make up counter and randomly swept some Charlottle Tilbury product over my cheeks, forehead and nose. It was a bit too peach, a bit too shimmery, but on a summer night it would be lovely. Not late March North East... anyway. I want something that will have more staying power than the light touch cream blushes I use, something just give me a slightly more finished edge, iyswim? I would also like it it to be something I can sweep across nose, forehead, cheeks, easily. Does anyone have any ideas? Or maybe I need a two-step product - powder and blush? Insight and experience needed. Atm I wear NARS tinted moisturiser (which I like but is very light touch) and cream blushers, which seem to slip off me quickly.

Hourglass finishing powder? And a blush. Depends what effect you're trying to achieve really

I did the same at a CT counter the other day and ended up coming away with some Airbrush finishing powder……it’s a non sparkly one. The woman put some on my face and my mate was so impressed she bought some too! I think it goes everywhere and hopefully gives a more finished look.

My plan is to use it in conjunction with my normal MAC powder blusher for evenings though Im not sure if blusher goes under the finishing powder or over it 😁

I am not very good with make up but I do like the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette, nice and easy and does appear to make a difference.
I also have the blusher in a peachy tone as too much pink is not good for me.
