Lash lift and tinting

I don’t wear a lot of make up but I like mascara - however - no matter tha brand, it always runs and it is a nightmare to remove.

I’m considering lashes lift and tinting just to enhance my face a bit. I’m 47 with grey hair and zero work done - skin okay coukd be better, working on it.

Anyway, welcoming experiences and suggestions and even recommendations to safe places in London.

TIA

I have dark eye lashes anyway so tint didn’t make a huge difference.

The lift looked fantastic for the first week or two but then that was it.

Ive heard it depends on your lash technicians technique and your lashes in general or how long they last.

I haven’t had it done again because for the short term results I personally didn’t find it worth it. Currently considering (as natural looking as possible) extensions.

I get my eyelashes tinted and find it useful, mainly for days when I don’t want to wear mascara. I’m quite fair though.

i did have a lash lift in the summer and it lasted quite a while. I didn’t like it at first though as think she over curled them. But they settled after a week and then did look longer. Didn’t love it enough to have it done again though, but I know other people that swear by it. I think I also didn’t like the actual process so that put me off getting it done again too.

I had lift and tint last year for holiday and they were nice at the time but a few weeks later they seemed stumpy and stuck together so stupidly I had them done again and this time they were definitely damaged. To counteract this I bought lashify serum and they are so pretty now - long and not so straight so they just need a tiny amount of mascara. I'm using the Elf tubing one and that doesn't run at all. I might just tint them for holiday.

Had LVL done in a place called Swanky and it was great, can’t remember how long exactly it lasted but maybe a few weeks. No weird after effects, lashes just went back to normal after.
Also, if you haven’t already, try tubing mascara

I am your same age, just very slightly older and I have a lash lift and tint every 6 weeks-ish, and love it. I had this treatment done in several different places over the years and I never ever had any issues. It makes such a huge difference to my face. I am otherwise very 'natural', I never had any other treatment done, not even false lashes. Totally recommended.

I have my lashes tinted and love it as I've never got on with mascara (I wear contact lenses). I've never had a lift done, though, so I'm reading this with interest.

I've had LVL done twice and never again

Hated having to keep my eyes shut for an houR!

First time was a disaster and the woman was awful and eyes reacted and she fucked it up and they when curly and over processed

fast forward two years later and the new therapist was very competent at least but the effect was minimal and still hated having my eyes fiddled with for an hour

Not for me!

How often and how much you pay?

I love a lash lift and tint. Really makes a difference especially if going on a pool/beach holiday

dullestofall It's about £10 for tinting, although I had 'HD' tinting last time for £15 and it's true that it lasted quite a while. As for frequency, it's really as and when. I could do it much more often if I were more organised, ideally every 4-6 weeks.
