Not for myself but couldn't think where else to post this. Why is shoe size 40 showing as a 6 and show size 39 also saying it's a 6? This is Nike trainers. But other websites show 40 as a 7?

Probably because a 39 is not exactly a 6, its a bit less and 40 is maybe 6.5. I think.....

Mairzydotes · 27/03/2024 16:42

I'm a 40 too. I think US sizes and Euro sizing systems don't exactly correspond with each other. 40 is more of a 6 .5.
I'm not familiar with Nike sizing

Thanks both I will just have to send them back if they don't fit, just a bit of a pain though !

Buy two sizes and return the ones that don't fit.

He will either be this size or a size 7 which is men's sizes and double the price ☹️ was hoping it meant a size 7 so I could get away with it as they are in the sale.

I have lived in a European country for a long time and I generally find size 40 = UK size 7. Sometimes it is size 41, but 40 is very common. I’d order them and see. You might get lucky.

Ive given up thinking Im a 5/38 ( which I was for the past 30 years, going up from 4/37

Seems now I can wear size 3 or size 6, not a bother

I would never buy shoes online for this reason

I'm a 6 in UK sizes and a 39 in Europe if that helps at all!
