Need help, config and stylish clothes for mum of young kids

Hello everyone

I really need some help finding comfy clothes that don’t make me look crap. I’m in my mid 30s and have two DC, both under 7. On my non working days I live in leggings and baggy tops. I really really need some help finding some clothes that are comfortable but moderately stylish as I’m sick of looking like I make zero effort. I used to keep up with fashion trends and always made an effort with my appearance but becoming a mum has wiped that side of me unless I’m at work (where I always dress smart).

DC2 was a c-section and I’ve been left with a pouch. My stomach was never my best feature pre children but now I 100% don’t want to show it off. I also find anything tight or too fitted around my stomach incredibly uncomfortable so jeans and any trousers that aren’t elasticated just end up bothering me all day.

I’m a size 12-14 on top, a size 14-16 on bottom, bra size 36B and my height is 5’7”. I’ve got pale skin (so very pale colours can often wash me out) and blonde hair.

Any tips?

Uniqlo

Beyond Nine

Community Clothing

should all be worth repeated, careful browsing.

Also I think Toast has a sale either just starting or just ending - you may well find something (quirky and hardwearing) that adds interest to your wardrobe.
