Laser hair removal

I'm so sick of waxing. Then waiting for regrowth to be able to wax again. It's rubbish.

Does laser hair removal take ages? Bikini and lower leg and armpits? I'm not particularly hairy.

And does it cost a bomb?

Look for salons that use the Soprano Ice machine. I had a course of ten sessions 5 years ago and totally worked. I paid A LOT in a salon but having spoken to the lady doing it, any salon with a super cheap offer thag uses that machine will be fine. I'm looking at groupon to get my legs done.

Although I subsequently got the Philips Lumea which works but does keep coming back. I use it for moustache and monobrow!

Philips Lumea - you do it yourself at home?

Do you think it good for bikini?

I had IPL on my bikini, underarms and top lip. It was expensive but money well spent. I do still have some hairs on my bikini and underarm but very few. I am very happy to never have had them return to my lip.

I can’t quite remember how much I paid, as it was 7 or 8 years ago. Probably around £45 for lip, £60 for underarms and more for bikini (per session) and probably had about 8 sessions.

@PotatoPudding 8 sessions for each area?

A friend of mine paid for all over hair removal, she’s got very dark thick hair though and said it was always a pain waxing or shaving - she got a deal through the salon not sure how much she paid though.

I went to Sk:n about 10 years ago for laser for my face, chin and neck. They often ran offers and promotions which made it affordable. I think it varies from person to person as to how long it takes to clear the hair. For me it was absolute ages but I don’t think that’s usual. It was money very well spent for me as I have very pale skin and black hair and had male pattern facial hair that just destroyed my confidence.

Yes. I think you have to wait about 6 weeks between sessions. Well worth it, though. I just wish I’d done it sooner.

Sk:n clinics use the Soprano machine which is proper laser as opposed to IPL.
