My skin is awful and I need help! I’m early 40s and since I started peri a few years ago (nice and early), it’s just gone to shit. I’m HRTd up to the eyeballs, use glycolic acid and retinol regularly and it all helps, but not enough.

I keep seeing women mention tret like it is some wonder treatment, but I don’t know where to start. Please help me! It’s the fine lines and turkey neck that are the main issue.

You'll need to find a company that will prescribe it, I use dermatica but skin & me also do it. When you start you don't need to it every day and you'll need to use a sunscreen too

Otherwise you just use it like a serum

Listened to a personal finance podcast yesterday which featured a dermatologist. Basically, the message was: skin is a vital and complex organ, like a liver or a kidney. So, make an appointment with a dermatologist. You may baulk at spending £150 or so on a consultation, but you will not be wasting money on stuff recommended by non-specialists, social media influencers or advertising budgets.
