who is your favourite individual hairdresser?

I'm looking for a new hairdresser / stylist in or around North London or in between to central London. My regular is moving out of town and the task of finding a new person feels like looking for a needle in a haystack. I can't just simply Google 'best hair salons' or similar as at the end of the day it will be down to who you get at the salon, no matter how good their website is, marketing, reviews or their team's mug shots!

A bit of background and what I'm looking for:
Middle-aged (female), shiny grey/silver hair (completely natural but enhanced with Olaplex 4 Purple shampoo) and mid-length. My hair is mostly straight but very thick and freezy due to the completely random way grey hair can grow. Precision cutting is the best technique for me. Never chop into the hair and only cut in bulk or small locks rather than fluffing it up randomly. I need to thin it down but that's where the mastery comes in as it requires real skill without making the hair look all choppy. My hair's biggest enemy is the zig-zag scissors!

I usually go for a bob but I like it very 'soft' and with some 'movement' on the ends which looks more feminine than the harsh bob shape. I also go for asymmetry, so slightly longer on one side and towards the front (or chick) as a gentle and gradual angle. Hopefully that makes sense or sounds familiar.

So who can you recommend which may fit the brief? I'm looking to spend c. £80 for a cut and blow-dry.

Thank you all in advance.

Depending where you are in North London I would strongly recommend Theo at Kink in Mill Hill. I’ve been going to him for years. If it helps, there is a car park opposite the salon where you can park for free for two hours.

@Rocknrollstar thank you. Mill Hill is very close to me.
