Stubborn greys at front not getting dyed

Exactly that! Spent a very considerable amount of money at Aveda treating myself to a quick tbar to get front hairline and parting dyed. I have mousey brown hair with blonde highlights.
However, very dismayed to see my stubborn whites still around the hairline, especially after I’ve spent so much money.

This is not the first time this has happened.
should I just accept that stubborn hairs are difficult to dye? Or do I reach for a box kit - which is defeating the point.
help! Am I asking for the wrong thing?

I had to go much blonder to avoid this.

I gave up after a year of this. It just didn't seem to work any more. Now pretty much natural and it's kind of sad but I do suit the grey/white!

Just for Men Beard will cover them. Just put it on the problem area in a paler shade.
I find it's the only thing that gets the stubborn ones.
