Grey hair help

Hello,
I’m 29 and recently had a baby. My hair is now laced with greys (not sure if it’s linked to the baby or not but very noticeable now- could be a coincidence).

I have very dark brown hair with some natural lighter streaks. The hair dresser has always said it looks like I have highlights even though I don’t. I really don’t want to dye* my hair but need something to cover the greys some how… is this even possible?!

would purple shampoo take the harshness out of the grey? Help! Please!

*don’t want to die due to cost and will lose natural colours in hair.

I began to go grey in my teens & by mid twenties was snow white, I actually love it & keep getting asked where I get it bleached so platinum 😂. What I did during the transition, the worst part of it, was use a blonde semi permanent to make the white bits look like highlights, then once it was all “blonde” it was easier to just let it fade & grow out.

if I dye it blonde, will just the grey bits take? And the rest will stay brown?

Yes,if you use a semi permanent as it doesn’t contain bleach. A permanent might lighten the brown, I never tried that.
Or there’s these which I used a lot as it eventually just washes out
