White summer trainers

I'd like to get some white, lightweight summery trainers to replace my crappy New Look's own version of converse low tops. They'd be to wear with dresses/ jeans/ wide trousers etc. I've got some white Adidas trainers - they're a bit like superstars, can't remember the exact kind, but they're a bit chunky.

I'm late 40s, not exactly at the cutting edge of fashion but not quite ready for skechers yet.

Any ideas?

Adidas Stan smiths are nice, not as chunky as superstars.

Just get some converse. They are classic and will last forever if you wash them.

Thanks all. Yes actual converse is a good idea - cheap copies are so much thinner to walk on.

Having said I wasn't keen on chunky, I quite like the look of AF1s - but my kids would accuse me of copying them 😉

I've got the faux leather converse. Much easier to keep clean.

I find Converse too narrow for me, although I really like the style. On a hunt around for something similar I came across these Fila ones in Deichmann. They are brilliant and saw me through 3 days of sightseeing in New York in comfort. Look good with jeans and with dresses. I was so pleased with them I got another pair in black.

I have af1 and find them heavy and uncomfortable

Dunks or low court Nikes are similar to AF1 and you can get them cheaper at sports direct or MandM or the outlet stores- not dunks though they are pretty popular right now
