Treatment for flaky scalp??

I recently had a full head of bleach done after having highlights for about 10 years, since I had it done I have had the worst dry, flaky scalp. It is absolutely awful and I’ve never seen anything like it, I’ve had dandruff in the past but never like this. There are absolutely enormous flakes coming off my scalp and I’m finding it really embarrassing and it’s making me self conscious.

I used to use head and shoulders but something in it really irritates my eyes. I didn’t know whether to try a scalp scrub or whether that will just make things worse?

can anyone recommend anything to help? TIA

Moo Goo shampoo.

I use medicated shampoo.

My go to is neutrogena Tgel therapeutic shampoo but I have heard VERY good things about Polytar scalp shampoo

Can you use Head and Shoulders but keep it out of your eyes and off your face?

@Cas112 @LeWifi @Workingmytickettoparadise thank you for your suggestions I will look into them!
@user1492757084 As soon as it’s on my hair it starts to sting my eyes, even if it’s nowhere near my eyes/face!

@redfox14 I don’t know about the irritation factor. All I know is that it is the most effective for me in terms of a flaky scalp.

Obviously avoid the bleach in future but this happened to me when I tried using Olaplex. Only used it once but the dry flaky scalp went on for months. I finally cured the problem by putting warmed sesame or olive oil on my scalp the night before washing my hair, so every five days. I slept with a towel on the pillow. Washed the oil out with double shampoo next morning. Fortunately I’d bought the Olaplex from John Lewis and they gave me a full refund.

I use Hello Klean apple cider vinegar scalp soak …or something along those lines on my daughters head (she’s 8) and it worked so well

expensive but only needed one or two washes for it to clear
