Esska sandals

I'm wearing a dress very similar to this for a family occasion (christening style event) in a couple of weeks. I've worn trainers or birkenstocks for 3 years and would like something a bit glam but have a horror of sore feet. I've read some good things about Esska sandals. Will they work for a whole day of standing? (Also, bonus points for a structured cardigan that might go over it)

Esska sandals are very comfortable, go for it!

I can second that Esskas are really comfy. I have a pair in gold and wore them all day to an event with no problems.

i wore some to a wedding last year and last all day and night in them! Very comfy.

Interesting, this is sounding very positive. What colours do you recommend? I've a lot of grey, black and navy in my wardrobe. The gold look lovely but won't be versatile enough for me, but the silver looks very shiny. There's a pair with silver, gold and rose gold which could be cover a multitude. I'm hampered by not having anywhere local for real life viewing.

I think silver would be a good option with that dress. As soon as I saw it I thought it would look great with a bright pink to add a pop of colour, but then that’s not going to be very versatile. Another option could be to go for a nude colour if you wanted to get more wear out of them.

I’ve only tried the Esska’s on but I didn’t find them at all comfortable. I’d recommend M&S shoes instead.

Unfortunately nothing in M&S is very inspiring at the moment. I found gorgeous orange eskkas in Oliver Bonas. I have to have a rummage through my wardrobe today to see what else they'll go with before I commit.

I have 3 pairs of Esska Charlie's - platinum, black velvet and pink. They're the comfiest heels I've ever worn and I've got rid of all my others! I found the Valerie a bit high but the Charlie is a great heel height. All the Vs are the higher heel and the Cs are mid heel. Also I found they come up quite big - I'm a 6.5 but very wide feet so usually wear a 7, but in Esska I'm a 6.

Monsoon have decent esska dupes, worth a look before you commit to the higher price

PuneorPlayonWords · 17/03/2024 12:14

How's the comfort of the Monsoon dupes, @SiobahnRoy ? I'll be near a store today so can see if they have any in stock. Thanks for the tip.

I'm definitely not brave enough for the Valerie's!
