Vinted - designer items

How certain would you be of authenticity of designer items on Vinted? Am looking at a couple of Polene bags but don't know whether to trust that they're genuine. Both sellers have no feedback.

Designer items listed and no feedback means it’s probably a scam. Also check what other items they have listed
If someone has plenty of feedback it’s more likely to be ok.

There's loads of fake Polenes floating around atm, I'd avoid.

I'd still caution with anyone with loads of reviews, I've seen plenty of sellers with good reviews offering fakes. When I report them Vinted rarely takes action.

If the seller has no feedback and often numbers in their username it’s probably a scam. Also if you can see the same item/same photo under different names in lots of countries (might not be a thing in the U.K., I’m in the EU so can buy from anywhere).

I’ve bought quite a bit of designer stuff from Vinted but always from seasoned sellers with lots of feedback. Vinted also offer an authentication service, I think at an extra fee?

I wouldn’t buy anything of any real value from someone with no feedback at all. I think you can pay to have designer/certain branded items verified by a third party? It’s an option in the app I believe.

When you list a designer item, they hold back putting it up to do a check....not sure how tho!

I'm really annoyed cos I've listed something genuine with all the right photos and Vinted won't show it. 😡
