Jeans help please

I need to buy new jeans and am aware skinny fit are now not in, I won't be throwing them all out but plan on buying some alternatives. How long should jeans be now? If I bought boot cut for example?

I love bootcut and wear boots with a small heel so quite long.

Bootcut jeans look best with a heel, so should be long.
With straight or skinny, you can roll or let them reach the top of ankle boots.
I'm not going anywhere near wide-leg or mom jeans, or anything cropped.
