I've just bought one of these, mainly for my child in case she wants to do it (won't wear bare legs cos someone laughed at her legs twice 😡)
Excuse the stupid question but do you still put shaving gel on and then do it?

Most electric/battery shavers are fine used on their own. Sounds a good safe choice for a daughter growing up.

It should say if it’s a wet/dry one or not. Did it not come with instructions?

Thanks

I've never used one before. It was a friend who said she'd got it for her child

It doesn't mention anything about gel in the instructions

I have a wet dry one but only ever use it on dry legs. I don’t think shaving gel is needed as it doesn’t get as close to the skin as a normal razor

To add to my previous comments, if it does not specify wet/dry it most certainly is for dry use. She may wish to follow up with a little moisturiser though.

So just shave without going in the bath?

If it’s a dry shaver it will not work so well on damp legs.

Cheeesus · 12/03/2024 17:34

Yes. If it doesn’t say wet/dry then just use it totally dry.

I have one. I have always used it dry and then I put some body lotion on after. Very easy and safe to use
