How would you spend £500

I'm getting an unexpected bonus from work and have decided to spend £500 of it on updating my wardrobe. I've recently returned from my last maternity leave and would like a bit of a refresh. I definitely need a new pair of day to day trainers and some new bras. Other than that, I'm totally open to ideas.

What would you buy if you were me?

Cashmere scarf and jumper as was planning to get one or both in the sales and it didn't really happen

Expensive running shoes that are as light as a feather and feel amazing but can't currently justify as bought pretty nice running shoes recently (just before the amazing ones were released), but these aren't really style or beauty

Replace some Nuxe skincare that is on its way to running out

Perfume

New dress (above knee, black, classic, can wear anywhere)

Or put it all towards a handbag

Botox and fillers.

marks and Spencer's have some really lovely capsule wardrobe style bits in at the minute so I would be going straight there

I would read this thread about updating your wardrobe before making any purchases:

It’s in Classics cos it’s such a good idea - basically you go through what you already have, then look at what kind of outfits appeal to you and suit your lifestyle, then see what you need to buy to get those looks.

I’ve explained it poorly, but this thread has been shared by so many MNetters as a game changer. Def worth a read!

Thanks to S&B, I'm finally winning in the "pursuit of elegance." | Mumsnet

I'm about to write a very long post about how the Style and Beauty board has helped me revolutionise my wardrobe! There's no one else in my life who i...

If you haven't had it done already; perhaps a session with a personal stylist - they can tell you your body shape, colours and do a wardrobe edit in your home?

A few years ago I did the same after a mat leave. I went to John Lewis personal stylist at the Trafford Centre. Took all the clothes etc that I had that still fitted and which I liked .
They used my own clothes as a base . She was brill, didn't go over my budget either. I am planning yo do exactly the same after this current pregnancy.

I would put it towards a pair of Gucci loafers. They’re my long term shoe crush.

If you're quick (and the right size!) there's still some lovely cashmere and merino knitwear in the Rise and Fall archive sale.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions so far! I spent my lunch hour setting up a spreadsheet after reading that classics thread 😅. Have added some wide leg jeans, workout crop tops and an oversized graphic tee to my list. @IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle that brand is amazing 😍
