Help with 30s wardrobe

I am turning 33. I am a teacher. I have 2 kids aged 3 and 5. I live in jeans that are worn at the thighs and t shirts with holes in them and jumpers with stains. I do have some work dresses with tights for my part time teaching job. My hubbie has suggested with love that I go buy myself some bits. Looking at people around me I have realised I have no style outside of "I like summer dresses". I don't shop much and if I try I just can't fine "me". I don't have a huge income (teacher wage). I just want to look in the mirror and like what I am wearing rather than throwing the same bland stuff on. Where do I start? What do 33 year olds wear these days that aren't jeans are a t shirt from primark?

Maybe ask for this thread to be moved to style and beauty.

Otherwise, what’s your height/size/body shape? Do you want to remake your casual wardrobe or your work one? Which parts of your body do you like, which would you rather not draw attention to? is there anyone whose style you admire?

Oh I didn't know style and beauty was a section. I will try figure that out. Thank you.

Admiration wise I honestly don't know. I have spent the last 5 years watching cocomelon and before that I just studies and worked. It's embarrassing but I never had a "style".

I am 5ft size 10, pale, brown shoulder length hair. Have some belly fat from 2 kids but generally ok with my body. 34C cup. People whose style I like is limited mainly because I haven't been plugged into culture etc for a long time. I like zoe deschanel, and nadia hussein's colours and comfort, and some emma Watson stuff, like nice jumpers and trousers. I go for old school classy, nothing too bold. I do like dresses, like skater style or ones that fit at the waist and drop but sometimes height is my issue. I like the shop "apricot" for work stuff. I have a few of their jumpers. Other than that I live out of primark.
