Anyone else hate the hush harem trousers?

I think I bought them after seeing them raved about on here.
Am I just the wrong shape?

The waistband, when folded down makes them sit well below my belly button. I'm not if an age where I want to be walking around with my belly out.
You can't fold the waist band up because there's no elastic in the top bit so it just falls back down.
The legs are pretty tight around the ankles due to all the ruched stitching so I can't even pull them up at the waist as they're stuck where they are by the ankles !
They washed terrible and faded pretty quickly (I had the black ones)
Crease in the wash but difficult to iron because of the voluminous shape.

Am I alone here ? Everyone seems to love them but honestly they just didn't work for me at all.

I also hated them. I think they needed to be looser in the leg and more snug in the waist to work. I sent them back.

Expensive and rubbish!

Bearpawk · 09/03/2024 14:30

Exactly @SwordBilledHummingbird you'd expect harem pants to have plenty of fabric in the leg but they're only generous around the waist ?

I thought as a pear shape they'd be ideal but they're awful on me. Whah a waste of ££

They're really flattering on me and perfect for my shape and sit perfectly on the waist (have long legs / short body) but agree that the quality is rubbish.

Pear shaped and tall here, I had a similar problem when I tried some on. Too low at the waist, full around bum/thighs then too skinny at the bottom.

The Amie joggers work better for me.

MyFirstLittlePony · 09/03/2024 14:49

They used to be beautiful quality, and well made circa 10 years ago

since a year or two, three, the fabric is thinner, the sizing and fit a bit off, and altogether poorer quality

Hush used to be good but it no longer is (at all!)

I really like them for the comfort (I’m short so the volume in the leg is okay) but do struggle with how to pair them with any top. I don’t want to flash my old wobbly midriff with a cropped t shirt but tucking in looks weird and a shirt overhanging looks really scruffy. I tend to just wear around the house.
