What would you wear?

It’s for an admin job in the charity sector, hybrid/office working.

I want to get some inspiration. What’s the feeling on interview attire in 2024??

I've been going for interviews and I've been sticking to trousers and a shirt / blouse with loafers.

Everyone that has interviewed me has been in jeans, sweatshirt and trainers

Some of my interviews have been online so I just stick a blouse with a nice collar on

purplecorkheart · 08/03/2024 16:54

I tend to go for a black trousers, a non collar blouse and a blazer. Loafer type shoes.

Calculuses · 08/03/2024 16:57

I've been wearing a smart but comfortable dress and comfortable shoes.

At my last interview (in the charity sector, as it happens) there was one woman in suit and heels and she looked awkward, out of place and uncomfortable.

Not the most exciting, but I normally stick to a classic look . Tailored trousers usually black , a nice shirt or blouse in a neutral colour, and either heels or loafers

I would wear my ankle grazer black smart trousers from M and S with a perfectly ironed white t shirt tucked in and a long black blazer over the top - I would wear loafers with that - smart but not too smart

My last interview in person or one of the last I wore a M&S stretch black knee length skirt, colourful blouse and black jacket, this was for an architects and the woman interviewing me almost mirrored the colours in my blouse, lime green.

The other ones I can’t recall but they probably a Hobbs work dress with jacket. Or a smart dress with jacket if less smart.

Shoes are either black nubuck kitten heels or Fit flop black patent ballet flats.

Black wide leg trousers and a striped shirt tucked in with a nice belt and loafers or boots.

StedeBonnet · 08/03/2024 21:51

I would it wear a suit. Smart shirt/top, trousers and flat smart shoes (ie not trainers.) good luck!
