I need some cotton trousers, sort of like jeans material but thinner, short legged but not cropped

I dont like any bag around the waist and bum so they need to be fairly close to the body but not 'skinny'.

And under no circumstances any cargo pockets (god how I hate this trend, I really dont need any extra bulk on my legs!)

Look at euphoria boutique online. I also like seasalt linen trousers. Or you could just cut some down or get them altered.

Thanks I will take a look. I dont really like linen trousers and I like something not too baggy with extra fabric, I think Ive seen those seasalt trousers and they seem very big around the hips

Have you looked at Next or M&S? Next always seem to do tapered Chino trousers every summer.

I have several pairs of these which are quite fitted (depending on the size chosen - I have two different sizes) and perhaps shorter than OP would like. They are incredibly comfortable and easy, and a staple for holidays and summer.

If it is any help I'm 5'1 with a 28" inside leg and need petite in Next. I'd presume their Short length is a 30" inside leg or similar.

I think I would probably need petite. It says their regular is 29 inches but doesnt specify the measurement for short

Yes thats exactly right, although not sure they have any left in my size. Might be a touch short, Im not looking for cropped trousers but I do have short legs and like them just a bit above the ankle

i got some from M & S last year

I have XL in those Next chinos which is about 33", Long is 31, regular is generally 29'. They are quite loose round the thighs generally so you may find them baggy. I just bought a pair from the Next clearance pages so it might be worth looking on there.
