Does anyone have Dermaplaning?

I would like to have this done professionally, not confident to do it myself!

I think it would help make my make up look better, especially on my furry cheeks 🤣

Does anyone here have it done at the salon and what is your skin like following the treatment? Plus any other tips please!

I do it at home. Love seeing all the translucent cheek fluff scraped away.

My skin looks lovely and smooth afterwards with a really nice sheen.

So easy to do at home and I've never even got close to getting it wrong! Buy the thingies off Amazon and go for it, once the peach fuzz is gone you'll be amazed how much better your makeup sits. I don't do my tache or eyebrows but everywhere else and the regrowth is never thicker or bristly.

Do it myself! I've got the tweezerman thingy to do it with!

I think I might have it done professionally first before I take the plunge.

Yes this one is good and you can replace the blades. It is essential to do it on clean skin with a fresh blade.

I had it do e once professionally and loved it so I do it myself now. Can't say it made that much difference really but it 'feels' cleaner. Go for it!

When they do it professionally they can use an actual surgical blade and go a bit deeper

I have booked to get this done tomorrow. I’m a bit nervous does the hair grow back faster and thicker ?

Netaporter · 24/07/2024 22:42

I have this done once a month/6 weeks by a professional who wears magnifying glasses. She also does an eyebrow tint/tidy and eyelash lift at the same time. Your skin can be quite sore so avoid actives or acids the night before. I ask my lady to apply LRP cicaplast balm instead of any other scented product to avoid irritation.

No, hair is the same thickness as it was before. Menopause meant my usually invisible facial hair became much more prolific - hence I keep it up.

Definitely go to a professional. The blades you can buy for at home are not the same quality and you won’t get the same results. People think they do the same job but they can cause damage to the skin.

Check the downsides before having it done. It's funny that peach fuzz has suddenly become an issue that can be solved with an expensive treatment. All dermatologists suggest you don't do it yourself as it's very easy to get wrong
