Every year I tell myself I'm going to sort out a bit of a spring/summer wardrobe before spring/summer so I'm not panicking on the first warm day that I've got naff all to wear. It's fast approaching and I've been looking online (don't have a good selection of shops nearby) but nothing is jumping out at me.
Everything in my life is casual, I could wear pyjamas to my office and nobody would care. So I don't need anything special, I'm just possibly the worst at finding semi stylish clothes that suit me and it honestly gets me down when I spot other women managing to look nice without it seeming like they made a huge effort.
So, I'm a 42 year old, 5'2", size 16, toddler mum. Works full time in office. Budget wise, as I'm looking to buy a reasonable number of items, I ideally would be looking at Next/highstreet price ranges. I can't spend £70 on a single t-shirt.
Please could I have some links & suggestions for a basic capsule wardrobe so I don't just end up wearing leggings and ugly t-shirts on warm days.
P.S. I generally hate anything floaty, it just makes me feel huge.
