Hi all!
I’m a wedding registrar (I have other threads on this) and I thought I’d start a wedding specific thread as we are beginning to approach the Spring wedding season. So to kick off may I add my suggestions:
If you are wearing mascara, make it waterproof. Very few wedding dresses have pockets for tissues, and the grooms never seem to remember, and you don’t want to go through a wedding like a recent bride I had, with panda eyes for the photos.
If you are wearing a backless dress, check that your underwear Spanx/Skims don’t ride up above the line of the backless dress. You don’t want to see them in the photos, and remember your guests are likely to see your back view during the ceremony.
If you are holding a bouquet, and think you might be nervous, and that your hands might shake, try to get flowers or leaves that aren’t going to flutter off with every movement.
check you have removed the price tag from your shoes!
If you have a veil, and you want your spouse to lift it over your head, practice first. They never seem to know what they are doing.
If you have a handbag or clutch you won’t need it during the ceremony. Give it to someone to look after.
Wear your dress for a few hours before the day. The number of brides I have who fidget and wiggle and lift things up and adjust things during the ceremony- it’s really distracting and you’ll notice it in the wedding video.
Wee first/before the ceremony.
any questions anyone has?
happy to answer! I love seeing what brides are wearing!
