Face cream recommendations

I've always been reasonably happy with cheaper/supermarket face creams , that was until I got Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream in my liberty advent calendar. Wow, it's lush.... but at £63 for 15ml I can't afford it as an everyday cream.
Looking for recommendations for a rich face cream alternative that doesn't feel greasy please.

I’ve just discovered (was gifted so not 100% sure if price) Clinique dramatically different moisturiser and I have to say I love it. I have quite dry skin and this suits me to a tee! Very moisturising and not greasy. I apply it every mooring before my makeup and have no issues.

@Walkingwithdinosaurs the yellow one? I used this years ago and really liked it, kind of forgot about that! I think I stopped using it one summer as I realised it had no SPF

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream is nice. I also use face creams from Evolve beauty which are really good.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 03/03/2024 22:38

I like the la Roche posay creams, I think I've tried them all and have yet to find one I don't like.

They are quite pricey but I always buy on offer and they do last well.

I use Nivea Q10 night cream...yes I use it as day cream too nut only one that works well with my skin

DeadDoveDoNotEat · 03/03/2024 22:47

I also got the Augustinus Bader cream in an advent calendar. Could have fainted when I saw the full price, so I'm using it sparingly.

Elemis Marine Cream is my favourite, still expensive tbh but you can keep an eye on QVC for a good deal. I also like Kiehls and Bobbi Brown.

If you’ve fallen in love with the Augustinus Bader cream you can get it on Vinted for around £30! Would be more like £35 with delivery & fees but personally I always accept reasonable offers.

I’ve actually gone the other way and stopped using expensive moisturisers and focus on Vitamin C serums. Nivea Soft on top of my night serums and an Ambre Solaire Face SpF50 on top of the day ones! Neither are greasy and my skin looks good for my age! For context I was using a very expensive Kate Somerville one previously at one point (ouchy expensive)…

Walkingwithdinosaurs · 04/03/2024 07:30

@gimmegimmegimmeagin yes that’s the one. My foundation has SPF in it so maybe yours has? Or maybe try mixing it in with an spf.

pinkchampagne1 · 04/03/2024 07:36

Definitely check out Vinted if you like Augustinus Bader cream. I sold my last bottle for £25 and there were lots more listed for similar prices on there.

FluffyFanny · 04/03/2024 07:37

The M&S sleep cream is really good for night and feels more expensive than it is!

I'll join your thread to watch for recommendations. I've used Clarins for years but the one I'm using has been discontinued and the replacement, going by the online reviews, is not anything like the original plus they removed the spf.

So I'm looking for a spf Moisturiser too.
